Frequently Asked Questions

Where did the name “Bloom Body & Mind” come from?

I’ve always loved flowers and knew I wanted my practice to incorporate floral themes. Flowers bring people joy and their beauty can invoke feelings of happiness and calmness. Whether received as a gift or admired in a garden, flowers can uplift our spirits and brighten our surroundings.

To “bloom” means to flourish. At Bloom Body & Mind, I am here to support you on your path to blooming - finding your inner strength and guiding you towards a life of vitality and empowerment.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with select insurance companies through Grow Therapy and Headway. Please reach out to me to discuss this option. For all other insurances, I am a private pay (i.e. “out-of-network”) provider. Clients pay my full fee at the time of each session. Some insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits, which means you may still be able to utilize insurance benefits to pay for a portion of therapy sessions. I will provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance if you have out-of-network benefits to help you obtain your reimbursement. Prior to beginning services with me, I can guide you on how to ask your insurance company about out-of-network benefits.

What are your fees/payment?

Sessions are provided on a fee-for-service basis. Fees will be arranged prior to starting treatment at Bloom Body & Mind. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. An estimate of out-of-pocket service costs is available upon request.

Do you offer Telehealth services?

Sessions are offered either in-person (in Charleston, SC) or via Telehealth. Telehealth sessions utilize secure and compliant Telehealth software. Granted by the PSYPACT Commission, I have Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) which allows me to provide Telehealth psychotherapy services to clients residing in over 40 states. Please find a list of the PSYPACT states here. If you are located in one of these states, we are able to see each other via Telehealth.

How long does treatment typically last?

Psychotherapy services typically last for 50 minutes per session. The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual's needs and progress. Some clients may benefit from short-term therapy, while others may require longer-term treatment to achieve their therapeutic goals. We will work collaboratively to determine the most appropriate duration of therapy to support your recovery journey.

What is your cancellation policy?

Late cancellations or missed appointments can hinder your progress in treatment. To provide the best care for all clients, a 24-hour notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Appointments cancelled less than one day in advance will be charged a late cancellation fee of $100.
