Psychotherapy Services
Therapy services begin with a comprehensive assessment to understand each individual's unique struggles. Following this evaluation, I will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs. Eating disorder treatment requires both physical and emotional care. In my integrative approach, I collaborate with other professionals who are involved in your care. Initially we will focus on stabilizing behaviors and physical restoration. As treatment progresses, we will work on addressing underlying concerns that maintain disordered eating patterns.
I am one of the only providers in the state of South Carolina trained in Family-Based Treatment (FBT), which is a very effective treatment for child and adolescent eating disorders. If you are concerned about your child or teenager, I’d love to hear from you about how I can help.
Treatment may consist of any of the following:
Individual Outpatient Therapy
Family-Based Treatment Approaches
Partner Support/Psychoeducation
In-Session Meal Support
Meal Plan Accountability
Collaboration with External Physicians, Nutritionists, and Treatment Centers
Referral to Higher Level of Care if Needed
Treatment Approaches

Individual Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy services will be tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Through evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), clients receive personalized support in developing healthy coping strategies, challenging negative thought patterns, and building self-esteem. Our therapy sessions provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore the underlying factors contributing to their eating disorder, fostering self-awareness and empowerment on their journey to recovery.

Family-Based Treatment
Family-Based Treatment (FBT) is a highly effective therapeutic approach for treating eating disorders, particularly in children and adolescents. FBT views the family as a crucial component in the recovery process, involving parents or caregivers actively in the treatment. This collaborative approach aims to empower families to support their loved ones struggling with eating disorders by re-establishing normal eating patterns, improving communication, and fostering a secure environment for recovery. FBT leverages the family's influence in promoting lasting healing and positive outcomes for the individual.
